TMX - Telematrix Software a.s.
Telematix Software a.s. is a joint-stock company (SME) dealing with the research, software development, operation and consultancy activities within the field of Intelligent Transport Systems. Our clients come from public sector on both national and European level as well as from relevant parts of business sector. Telematix Software a.s. offers qualified telematics services and customer adapted system solutions within information and telecommunication technology for governmental departments and public authorities as well as selected sectors of trade and industry like car manufactures and is very active in technology innovations, co-operates with different research and development centres and has its own experimental and testing environment together with high qualified people. It tries to integrate R&D activities, deliver market driven strategies, road maps and demonstrate novel operational systems especially in telematics area e.g. critical applications using Galileo with guaranteed system parameters, location-based services etc. One of most important products of Telematix Software a.s is navigation software Dynavix (www.dynavix.com), which is available at different platform – Windows Mobile, WinCE, iPhone and in short time at Android. Telematix has also a lot of experience with research projects. A previous project is for example SEEDA in which an innovative transport system trial has been conducted in Reading. Actually Telematix is integrated are In-Time project (Intelligent and Efficient Travel Management for European Cities) as well as the project Co- Cities (Cooperative cities).
Role in the project
Telematix will be Leader of the Dissemination and Exploitation WP and therefore responsible for the dissemination and exploitation activities. The company has a high interest to exploit research within this project by integrating different features within their actual developments within the logistic area (see their widely used navigation software called Dynavix). Additionally they have experience in leading a WP in the project Co-cities. Those aspects together make them a suitable leader of WP8. As a second role TMX will strongly support Fluidtime in implementing and designing the prototype within WP6 (System Design and Implementation).
Key personell
Tomas Tvrzsky is the Chairman of the Board of the Telematix Software, a.s. He has been extensively involved in the number of R&D projects on both national and European level. His professional focus is placed on the location based services and their integration into the transport field (personal navigation systems, embedded navigation solutions, safety critical applications, real-time information systems, etc.). He is a Member of Transport Telematics Association of the Czech Republic. Together with his collegue Zdenek Lokaj he will be responsible for managing the exploitation and dissemination activities of the project.
Zdenek Lokaj is Head of ITS and Transport Planning dept. He has been actively participating in the number of national and EC R&D projects as well as in commercial studies and other ITS projects. His specialisation lies in the intelligent transport systems (ITS) with a special focus on the communication.
